Fusion Coolant Storage Tips

Winter temperatures can wreak havoc in a variety of ways. Ideally, Fusion products should be store indoors and above room temperature. Our products utilize unique blends of materials that can negatively react to drastic swings or consistent extremes such as an abnormal heat wave or stretch of below-freezing temperatures.

If your team does need to store Fusion products outdoors due to limited space, safety concerns or access, consult your data sheet about possible outdoor storage options. While some Fusion products can be stored outdoors, below-freezing temperatures can create problems. Indoor storage areas located next to exterior walls are also susceptible to freezing during prolonged periods of exposure.

If outdoor storage is needed, products should be brought to room temperature prior to use. Certain products, such as Hybrid Cool, are more temperature sensitive due to their pre-formed emulsion chemistry. Conversely, Fusion Way Oils are more heat-sensitive and must be stored in a low-temperature environment.

All Fusion products are labeled with proper storage and handling instructions. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact our team. Please keep in mind, local laws and regulations may also impact how and where you store materials. You can also visit OHSA for more safety & storage tips and best practices.
